Modbury High School has a strong tradition of excellence in the teaching of the Visual Arts and Design.

Students are offered a wide range of visual arts in years 8 to year 10 and may choose to specialise in senior years.

Courses offered give students the opportunity to experience those aspects of the South Australian secondary curriculum that emphasise creative problem solving, practical skills development and the appreciation of our present day and past cultures.

The school continues to encourage the creative visual arts as one way that students can develop special talents, follow an alternative pathway to the  future, or simply   experience the  personal enjoyment the arts provide as a pastime. Students with special learning needs are specially catered for with modified, achievable learning programs.

The increasing use of computer technology in education has given arts students the opportunity to develop specialised computing skills, many of which can be transferred to the workplace.

Modbury High offers a wide range of courses in computer graphics programs including Corel Draw, Photoshop and Caddsman.
