Computing at Modbury High
"Computing at MHS incorporates a divers range of skills that provides a
valuable set of "tools" to equip students for Post Secondary School
Studies or the workforce. As students progress through years 8 to 12 they
will learn skills that include: Wordprocessing, Spreadsheets, Databases,
Webpage authoring, Graphic design, Powerpoint Presentations, and engage in
the use of other computing devices such as scanners, digital still
cameras, digital video cameras, & the list goes on.
Throughout all computing courses we encourage students to achieve the
requirements of Vet certificates courses covered in I.T. Certificates 1 &
2.
Although
computing is taught as a standalone subject in years 9 to 12, we strive to
give students the opportunity to integrate technology use in all areas of
their study across the curriculum."
The computing technology
available to students includes Pentium 4 computers with a continuous
upgrade plan in place.
