EMPOWERMENT

English at Modbury High is about empowering students.

It is about students becoming confident autonomous users of language.

English at Modbury High takes students on a journey of exploration and discovery through which they acquire knowledge and develop skills that can contribute significantly to their feeling of competency in society.

Year 12 Production

Students progressively increase their competency in the use of written, oral and multi-media texts as users and producers.

Skills and knowledge gained may be perceived as tools to be applied in other endeavours or as a vehicle for enjoyment and recreation.

INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION

Close monitoring of student performance, term reports, parent/teacher interview nights and effective communication and partnerships  ensure the best outcome for each student.
