On Sunday 30 July, the fourth Pedal Prix race was run at Victoria Park. The Modbury teams produced some great results. The message to the students prior to the race, was for them to help in their preparation for Murray Bridge by going out and riding for at least 40 minutes at a fast pace. Most of the students did this very well.
We had a number of excellent rides from riders who are not our top riders such as Devin Carter 21 laps at 2:16; Luke Powell 15 laps at 2:19; Zoraze Khurram 20 laps at 2:19, Cooper Whitbread 22 laps at 2:21 and Lilli Mensforth 20 laps at 2:31.
Cheetah, using the Trump trike from Fast Cats racing finished a very commendable 3rd with 180 laps, only 10 seconds ahead of 4th place, having been ridden by only 4 riders for the race. Well done to Kane Ramsey, Daniel Erkelenz, Angus Kean and Jordan Richter. They presented their certificate to the school at the assembly on Thursday 3 August.
We are well placed for the season finale in Murray Bridge with all the school bikes well within their top 10. Pink Panther is 2nd, Cheetah is 5th and Lynx is 6th, so with some good efforts we should have some good results.
