Research Practices is a 10-credit subject where students explore a range of research approaches and skills. They learn that different approaches to research are appropriate to different context and purposes. It is designed to prepare students for Year 12 study and in particular the Stage 2 Research Project.
Focus of Study
Students will focus their study on:
- at least one topic from Exploring Researching Approches
- at least one topic from Exploring Research Skills
Students will compile a folio that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the role of research and of research approches. Students will also undertake at least two sources analysis assessments where they will demonstrate that they can analyse sources from different perspectives.
