Sport and recreation - (Community Studies)

C or better in Year 10 PE.
This is a one or two semester course that allows students to develop personal organisational and occupation skills related to the Sport and Recreational industry. It will help them identify their interests and strengths and give them opportunities to explore differest training/ coaching pathways available to them.
Assessment is heavily based on student showing what skills they have developed and achieved. Grades will be awarded, but the emphasis is on the completion of the various competency booklets related to the course.

Students may choose a second semester of Sport & Recreation which covers different aspects of the course with an emphasis on coaching and reviewing the recreation industry. Passing the course gives the students 10-20 SACE Credits.
Students are requested to use a display folder and lined paper during the semester instead of exercise books.
