The Student's
Representative Council is the main arena for the voicing of students opinion.
It comprises of two representatives per class who meet once a month in year
level groups. These groups run activities pertaining to the year level
e.g. fund raisers and year level dinners.

Four representatives per
year level meet as an executive , monthly, under the leadership of the School
Captains who control the agenda and run meetings.
The Executive decide on
issues that affect the whole school community as well as matters arising out of
student suggestion boxes. From the Executive, delegates are chosen to represent
student opinion at the Governing Council, Curriculum Policy and grounds or
Finance sub-committees.
SCHOOL CAPTAINS
One male and one female
are elected to the positions of School Captain each year. To be elected, they
must be nominated by students and vetted by the School Principal. From
there they need to prepare a vision
statement for school perusal and make an "election" speech at the school voting.
Staff and students from
year 8-11 are to vote in a non-compulsory vote. As the Captains come form the
year 11 cohort, the year 11 vote is twice that of other groups.

MENTORING
Year 10
students have an opportunity to participate the Mentoring Program with
neighbouring Primary Schools. Here they assist younger students in
developing appropriate social and intellectual behaviours.
Students
themselves learn skills of negotiation, problem solving, organization as
they are required to be present at at the Primary Schools for two
lessons a week.
PEER SUPPORT
PROGRAMS
As part of
their SACE program of studies, Year 11 students are invited to
participate in the Peer Support Program. This involves interaction
with the Year 8 students in their first semester of High School.
Their program includes:

mentoring of
Year 8 students

organizing
sporting and cultural activities

teaching
students skills in resilience including handling grief, establishing
friendship and support groups, coping with bullying.
