Tertiary
Education Rank.
The table below shows the
percentage of students obtaining a TER within the stated decile
ranges. The TER is the major selection criterion for entrance for
many university courses. To be eligible to receive a TER a student
must complete 5 Stage 2 subjects and obtain a SACE. The majority of
our students (71.6 %) were eligible to receive a TER. The remaining
students were pursuing options such as VET courses, doing a
combination of Stage 1 and Stage 2 subjects, or completing less than
a full load of subjects. These options enable students to follow the
TAFE or employment pathways upon leaving school.

Merits
Congratulations to the
students who gained a merit (a score of 20 out of 20) in the
subjects shown in the table below. Merits are awarded to
approximately the top 1.5% of students in a subject and students
receiving a merit are invited to attend a special presentation
ceremony at Government House.

tertiary pathways
Students wishing to undertake
further study at either an Institute of TAFE or at a University
apply for courses through SATAC. Some students apply for courses at
both University and TAFE, and therefore may receive an offer from
both. Of the 121 Year 12 students who applied for SATAC courses, 112
(92.6 %) received at least one offer in the first round. 72 % of the
students receiving an offer obtained their first preference.
The tables below summarise the SATAC
offers made to Modbury students.
