We are continuing to follow the advice from the government regarding COVID-19 pandemic and provide updates as we receive them. On Wednesday, 22 April the Department for Education announced that they are now encouraging students to return to school for term 2.
Advice from SA’s Chief Public Health Officer and Australia’s expert health body, AHPPC, remains unchanged. Schools, preschools and early childhood facilities are low risk environments for COVID-19, and should remain open.
Parents and carers can choose to send their children to school, preschool or childcare, and feel confident that they are not placing their children at increased risk of COVID-19.
If you have any doubt, please refer to the infographic below or contact the school.
In addition to our standard protective measures and routine daily cleaning, please refer to the documents at the end of this post to learn about what our school is doing to protect the school community and stop the spread of COVID-19.
If your child is unwell, please keep them home and inform the school by either text 0427 013 510, phone 8264 1955 or email email@example.com Please include your child's name, home group and reason for absence.
For safety reasons, we ask that parents/caregivers do not enter the school grounds unless it is an emergency. If your child is sick and needs to be collected, please wait in the carpark for your child to come out.
If you wish to contact a teacher, please send them a Daymap message, phone 8264 1955 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
