The Learning Environment Team, comprising all Year Level Managers, our Senior Student Counsellor, the coordinator in charge of the Behaviour Management Room and an Assistant Principal, is focused on ensuring all students have the best possible chance of achieving success in school.
The areas of focus for this team include:
- Improving student attendance
- Ensuring behaviour in lessons allows for maximum engagement in learning
- Encouraging RESPECTFUL relationships through positive behaviour
- Enabling successful transition from one Year Level to the next
We have a wide range of programs to support these areas, these include:
- Individual Counselling
- Keeping Safe – Child Protection Curriculum
- Positive Behaviours seminars
- Peer Support program
- Student Code of Conduct
- Rights and Responsibilities
- Behaviour Management Policy
- Bullying and Harassment Policy
- Cybersafety Policy
- Full school assemblies which focus on topics such as Bullying and Harassment, Bystander Behaviour and Cybersafety
- Drug and Alcohol awareness programs
- Study Skills program
- Road Safety program
- “Party Safe” seminars
- Mental Health programs
- Career Counselling
Our school has two student counsellors one male, one female that work across the school with a focus on student wellbeing.
There are also many staff members who can assist if there is an issue for your child. You can discuss your concerns with:
- Your child’s Home Group Teacher
- One of our school counsellors
