To support students to achieve their best, Modbury High School has incorporated increased student attendance as a target in our site improvement plan.
The school aims to achieve a 95% attendance rate for students throughout the academic year and all members of the school community, staff, students and parents/guardians have responsibilities to fulfil this. Our attendance policy outlines everyone’s roles and responsibilities.
Reporting student absences
Parents/Caregivers must phone the school on 8264 1955 or text message at 0427 013 510 or email dl.0964.info@schools.sa.edu.au before 8.45am each day the student is absent to explain the absence.
Provide a written note in the student’s diary on the first day back from an absence to validate the phone messages.
Provide a doctor’s certificate that covers all the days a student has been absent if the absence is in a block of three or more consecutive days.
