The English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) Program provides an effective pathway for students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who are learning English as an Additional language/dialect.
Learners of EALD are defined as having a non-English speaking background (NESB) and use a first or home language or dialect other than standard Australian English. Students may need additional support to learn standard Australian English (SAE). This can include Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders (ATSI) students who use Aboriginal English at home to develop their SAE proficiency.
For more information regarding the EALD program and the Assessment of learning English: Achievement and Proficiency (LEAP) Levels please contact the school.
We believe in a culture of achievement in a respectful and rigorous learning environment
