The Modbury High School Specialist Basketball Academy offers opportunities for students to develop their basketball skills and knowledge. Riley Harrap is our Basketball Academy coach, who has a wealth of experience coaching elite juniors and currently playing NBL1 for the Norwood Flames.
Students begin by developing fundamental basketball skills and progress toward advanced skills and basketball concepts. The Academy is designed for hard-working individuals with a passion for basketball looking to pursue advanced basketball opportunities.
The Basketball Academy is a 4-year program. Classes operates over the course of the entire school year. Students have the following opportunities:
Modbury High School participates in Saturday morning basketball competitions played against other High Schools. Girls competitions run during Terms 1 & 4, whilst boys competitions run during Terms 2 & 3.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in the following experiences:
Modbury High School takes 3 teams of students to the USA bi-annually to play against school teams on the west coast of America. The team leaves in late November for about 23 days.
